Canadian beauty Lauren Burch (@laurenxburch) is known around the world
I am the stereotypical man who gets offended by everything considered progressive and is on the internet, probably created by Gen Z. True enough, I don't agree with most things I see on social media. If asked about my view of them, I would say it is a lack of creativity, maybe something that goes viral for a day or two and will be long forgotten.
There is that side of me, and then there is this other me who spends hours on YouTube viewing fashion try-on hauls, with my favorite influencer being Lauren Burch.

I looked her up, and it turned out that she had a twin sister, Julia Burch, who made content together. I had to check, and they look alike. I also realized they made another type of content my type is stereotyped to hate; even so, My fondness for her carried the day, and I sat myself thinking, well, these content creators are not so bad except that the try-on hauls that captivate me are not everyone's favorite. As someone who hates many things, hear me out when I say I have one thing to like.
First, I am a fashion enthusiast, and if I had a chance, I would be attending those galas, but they are very exclusive events, not to mention that not so many take place. I found a way to satisfy my hobby in the comfort of my chair, looking through many styles and preferences. And when it comes to try-on hauls, individuality stands out. Lauren comes across as an alternative fashion, borrowing from anime characters with makeup design, which is very creative and attractive. They won't allow that in that elitist event. That individuality comes from self-curation and non-edited or scripted styling unique to the creator. Find us in the comment section talking about what she just showed, and it would be a lengthy discussion with strangers. That engagement with fellow fashion enthusiasts and the occasional contribution by the stylist is everything to me, as I would say there are more than 450k subscribers on Lauren's YouTube channel.
For women and other fans who look up to Lauren, it is only through fashion try-on hauls that they get to see her style and talk about her fashion sense. That is a learning opportunity for those who seek to emulate her sense of fashion, which is technically most of her followers.
Once in a while, Lauren takes us behind the scenes, showing us the ugly side about coming up with authentic content, which adds to that sense of personalized and genuine connection. Before I forget, the videos are entertaining, especially if the content creator has a sense of humor and actively does those reviews.
